Joseph was the backup left tackle for the undefeated 2001 Hurricanes National Championship team, perhaps the most dominant and talented college football team in history, and appeared in 8 games. He was the starting left tackle in 2002 and 2003 before being a 7th round draft pick of the San Diego Chargers in 2004.
