Original very rare team photo postcard of the 1905 Harvard Crimson football team, featuring small mugshots of the starting eleven players. The 1905 squad started with eight straight wins but ended with a loss, a tie and a 6-0 loss to Yale finish with an 8-2-1 record and a point differential of 147-41. These postcards apparently were sold as stadium souvenirs as the month of Nov. is preprinted, and the date and score of the game was written in pencil by the sender, Henry Stephens III. Has heavy corner wear, a small stain in the upper right corner and a couple surface creases on the back but no holes or tears. Postmarked in Boston the day of the game with recipient's address written in dark fountain pen. ONLY ONE AVAILABLE FOR SALE.
