Wilson New York Yankees leather baseball autographed in blue ballpoint by 18 members of the 1978 New York Yankees World Championship Team: manager and Hall of Famer Bob Lemon; coaches Yogi Berra (Hall of Famer), Art Fowler (died 2007), Dick Howser (died 1987), Clyde King and Gene Michael; players including Hall of Famers Goose Gossage and Catfish Hunter (died 1999); plus Chris Chambliss, Bucky Dent, Jim Spencer (died 2002), Jay Johnstone, Ken Clay, Mike Heath, Sparky Lyle, Dick Tidrow, Gary Thomasson, Jim Beattie and Paul Lindblad (died 2006). Obtained from the personal collection of the late Catfish Hunter, authenticated by JSA with their Letter of authenticity. The baseball also has Ron Guidry, Reggie Jackson, Graig Nettles (two) and Lou Piniella signatures identified by JSA as non-authentic clubhouse signatures.
