Rookie Cards - All Sports - Autographed & Unsigned - Graded & Ungraded

The Rookie Card phenomena began in the early 1980s and has become an integral part of the sports card hobby and industry. Since those early days, collectors have expanded their demand for Rookie Cards to include graded and autographed versions. Interest in Rookie Cards began with baseball, but quickly grew to basketball, football and hockey.

When Tiger Woods won the 1997 Masters, suddenly collectors discovered his 1996 Sports Illustrated for Kids Rookie Card, and pretty soon, the chase was on for golf, and then every individual and team sport Rookie Cards.

Like Tiger Woods, many of the top players from sports other than baseball, basketball, football and hockey have Rookie Cards issued by Sports Illustrated for Kids. Since its 1989 debut, SI for Kids has always featured athletes from sports the major card companies previously ignored, included one per issue in 9 card perforated sheets.
