Alex De Luca and Wakefield Auctioneers and Appraisals Are Criminals "Authenticating" Fake Autographs

on

Legitimate autograph dealers who have been around a while know that while the problem with fake autographs is bad in sports, it's much worse with celebrities and Hollywood autographs. Recently, one particular "authenticator" flooded eBay and the internet with obviously forged celebrity autographs, mostly cast "signed" photos and posters: Alex De Luca of "Wakefield Auctioneers and Appraisals."

These are likely forged entertainment autographs.

If you happen to own anything with this letter of authenticity, I have bad news for you: it's a forged autograph. If you Google this person or his Wakefield company, you will find absolutely nothing indicating either have any expertise whatsoever in the autograph business. For all I can tell it's a fictitious person and a fictitious company, which of course means the autographs are just as fictitious.

If you happen to find more listed on eBay, please contact us and we will attempt to have it removed before someone else gets burned.
