5 sheets of plain paper autographed in black ballpoint pen by the 1985 Oklahoma Sooners National Championship football team, including head coach Barry Switzer and at least 45 players: Eric Mitchel, Derrick Shepard (died 1999; father of current OU star Sterling Shepard), star quarterback Jamelle Holieway, Ledell Glenn, Glen Sullivan, Derrick Crudup, star running back and Orange Bowl MVP Spencer Tillman, Don Maloney, Anthony Stafford, Damon Stell, Rotnei Anderson, Rickey Dixon, Greg Dixon, Dion Wharry, Don Smitherman, Tony Rayburn, Darrell Reed, Brad McBride, Ric Uhles, Bob Latham, Mike Aljoe, Eric Pope, Dugan Forrest, Al Laurita, Earl Johnson, Leon Perry, Todd Smith, Scott Thompson, Caesar Rentie, Jeff Tupper, Mark Hutson, Chuck Johnson, David Shoemaker, Jodie Britt, Mark Van Keirsbilck, Mike Wise, Greg Williams, Richard Davis, Kert Kaspar, Lee Morris, Steve Bryan, future All-American and Pro Bowl tight end Keith Jackson, Darren Kilpatrick, Lombardi Award winning defensive tackle Tony Casillas and Richard Reed. A few players (including Casillas and Jackson) signed two different sheets, and a few others remain unidentified, so there actually are close to 60 total signatures.
The sheets were laminated after being signed but the lower left sheet has a small water stain, and there is other minor age discoloration. Obtained in person at team practices in Miami prior to the Orange Bowl, where they defeated Penn State 25-10 to capture the final #1 ranking in the AP and UPI Coaches polls. With certificate of authenticity from AutographsForSale.com and roster highlighted with all identified signatures. Professionally matted in black with a mini embroidered commemorative pennant, photo montage and framed with plexiglas in Sooners red, ready to hang. Slightly larger than 30 by 35 inches. The framing alone would cost at least $300-$400 at even a discount custom framer. This is obviously a rare and unique piece of college football history. ONLY ONE AVAILABLE FOR SALE.
NOTE: DUE TO THE SIZE OF THIS ITEM, IT CAN ONLY BE SHIPPED WITHIN THE UNITED STATES.
